“… forgetting what is behind, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14, NIV)

There are days when we just don’t seem to be able to get anything done. No matter how hard we try, things just keep getting in the way. Distractions come in all shapes and sizes. In the office, they can be phone calls, meetings, and small talk. In your spiritual life, distractions may be people, fear, or the activities surrounding your everyday life. Basically, distractions are anything that keep you from focusing on God and spending time with Him. Take time each morning to spend time with God in prayer. Ask Him to help you prioritize your day. As you make this a part of your daily life, you’ll begin to understand true productivity. You’ll begin to differentiate the necessary to-do list items in your life from the distractions. In time, you’ll have the satisfaction of accomplishing what He’s called you to do. Enjoy your Wednesday, “Working for Christ”!
