Be Quick To Listen!

Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” (James 1:19-20, NIV)

We are always so quick to open our mouths and put our “two cents” into whatever anyone has to say. Without thinking, our mouths can get us into trouble. This often leads us to get angry and, consequently, our actions become less than desirable. When this happens it’s difficult for anyone to look at us and realize that we belong to Christ! So what can we do? We can become better listeners! We can show others we care by being more attentive to what they have to say. We can keep our words to ourselves unless we can add a positive touch to the conversation. We can open our mouths when we intend to produce the type of righteousness that God desires! Enjoy your Thursday, “Working for Christ”!
