Choose Your Words Carefully!

“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” (Proverbs 15:1, NIV)

Whenever we disagree with anyone, we have a choice as to how we will respond. One choice is to be kind and gentle; another is to be harsh and rude. The choice we make indicates our character. It also affects the person we are responding to, allowing them to feel comfortable with us or putting them on the defensive. How do you respond when you disagree with someone? How did Christ respond to those who disagreed with Him?

The words we choose can either build up or tear down. Listen carefully to the words you choose this Friday. Build someone up today! Have a wonderful weekend, “Working for Christ”!
