Transform Your Anxiety Into His Peace!

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6:34, NIV)

Stress and anxiety are two of the easiest ways to become discouraged. When you feel a little anxious about your job, you’re not alone. USA Today, 10-29-02, reports that 70% of all American workers say they feel moderate to great stress on the job. 54% cite the demands of the job itself for their stress. Only 10% blame their bosses! So this isn’t some rare condition we can easily escape by changing workplaces. It’s a serious condition that can only be addressed by changing our attitudes.

A good place to start is by studying the word of God. In Philippians 4:6-7, Paul teaches – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”. Paul is saying that in order to get out of the anxiety mode and experience true peace we need to rejoice in the Lord all the time and to present our requests directly to Him through prayer. Allow Christ to be present in your workplace, your cubicle, your home office, your job site, or wherever you may be this Monday. Ask Him to transform your anxiety into His peace! Have a wonderful day, “Working for Christ”!
